Dyslexic Stoplight

This piece was created live in Deep Ellum in Dallas, TX in 2015. I was independently studying one of my favorite painters Jean Michel Basquiat whose style influenced the colors and abstractions created here. It currently hangs above my piano and is a very bold piece. While I was painting it live, there was a punk band playing which influenced the color choices and the boldness- the title refers to the green light being on top and red on the bottom, with a Scottish Terrier crossing the street.
